The Brazilian Pigeon Racing Federation (FCB) announces a historic change to raise standards of transparency, safety and quality in official pigeon racing and reveals the imminent implementation of innovative procedures determined by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA).

From January 2023, all racing pigeons born in Brazil are subject to a comprehensive animal traceability system, highlighting the revolutionary Code 6.12 - Columbia Lívia. FCB, at the forefront of innovation, will adopt the final 7 digits of the numbering generated by the MAPA traceability system. This change not only ensures the validity of FCI registrations, but represents a transformative milestone in the practices of official Brazilian pigeon racing.

At the same time, FCB reinforces its unwavering commitment to the health and well-being of carrier pigeons, announcing strict compliance with health protocols from January 2024, in strict attention to the fight against Avian Influenza. Registered breeders will be subject to these strict protocols.
